It isn’t too often that a specific clothing line inspires so much…but Kate Spade has always been different. With clean lines, bold colors, and tongue-in-cheek catch phrases, the brand’s ability to inspire is unparalleled. When I heard a few months back that Kate Spade was rolling out a new, more affordable line called Saturday, I immediately signed up for an email allowing me to view the collection as soon as possible. It did not disappoint. I click through the collection weekly, and have been especially inspired by the brand’s newest fall products. It is highlighted by clean lines, pops of color and classic pieces in new shapes. Here are two looks I’ve created from Kate Spade Saturday pieces.
CASUAL CHIC: This first look is something I’d love to wear as I spent an afternoon in a coffeeshop, on my computer, and running errands around town. its put-together, comfortable (how about that chic sweatshirt??) and utilitarian. I am in love with that sleek, carry-all bag.
1. Perfect Crewneck Sweatshirt in Sponge // 2. Sliding Mirror Necklace // 3. Double Headband in Calf Leather // 4. Modern Easy Pant in Coated Twill // 5. Slip-On Oxfords in Leather // 6. Inside Out Pocket Tote // 7. Clean Slate Bracelet in Leather and Metal
COLOR @ WORK: As I’ve recently stepped into the world of working woman, I know how difficult office wear can be to shop for. Most looks are either inappropriate or frumpy. I love this look–one bright pop of color can go a long way, especially in the form of this fuschia top. Sleek, modern accessories and a pair of perfectly tailored wool pants make for the perfect fall office look.
We still have summer weather here in the valley, but got a taste of the autumn weather up in the Sierra mountains this weekend, so I’ve got changing colors and grey days floating around my mind. What are you looking to wear this fall? Have you checked out the Kate Spade Saturday collection?
