Graduation // Lake Pend Oreille, Idaho // Sasquatch Music Festival in George, WA // Kauai // Cabin in Truckee, CA // Bay Bridge at night, San Francisco
With the first week of autumn upon us all, I wanted to wrap up my summer. It doesn’t feel like fall here at all in the Central Valley. With temperatures this week expected to be in the 80s again, its still summer in my book. No scarves and boots quite yet, but at some point you must cut off one season and begin another, despite the weather.
I have had an incredible summer, and its felt so much longer than any other! The summer began with graduation from Washington State University. The very next weekend, B (my boyfriend) and I went to Farragut State Park in northern Idaho. It is a beautiful woodsy park along the edge of Lake Pend Oreille. Shortly after, we ventured to The Gorge Amphitheater in George, Washington for Sasquatch! Music Festival. It was my first time attending, and B’s third, and we had the best time. Immediately after returning home, B & I jumped on a jet plane to Kauai for our graduation gift. B’s family friends allowed us to stay in their vacation home for 10 perfect days. After all our vacationing it was time to move, so I packed up and we found a place in Lodi, CA. We kept busy on weekends with trips back to B’s home in Truckee, CA (near the Lake Tahoe area) spending time boating and hiking around Donner Lake. We also made several trips to San Francisco for my first Giants’ games and to explore the local eateries and sites.
Its been such a crazy summer, and we just keep planning more trips. Travel can be exhausting, but its so rewarding. How was your summer? Are you sad to see it go, or excited for the fall?
