Despite the never-ending chilly rain we’re enduring in Portland, spring is here! The cherry blossoms are blooming, and we’re starting to see more signs of life, and the occasional sun ray, which has me excited for the season ahead. Spring is a favorite season of mine, and I’m all the more excited for this one, after a particularly dreary winter. Spring always has me rethinking my wardrobe, of course, finally ready to shed some layers and lighten things up a bit. I’ve got quite a wish list going already.
I know I won’t be able to purchase everything I want from my spring style wish list, so I thought I’d share it here, rather than letting it collect dust on Pinterest.
Sotela Pocket Cocoon Dress / I’ve had my eye on Sotela for a while now, since their Kickstarter, and I definitely want to snag one of their dresses soon. I love the shape of the cocoon dress, particularly, and the olive color is just perfect. This dress seems like the perfect transition dress, and could be worn throughout the year with accessories added or subtracted for the weather. ($110, made in Los Angeles)
Everlane Relaxed Cotton Shirt / I tried the Everlane relaxed fit poplin last year and just determined it wasn’t for me. It was too stiff, and felt awkward. However, I think in a more relaxed fabric, like this cotton, I think it could work better. Instead of white, I’m a bigger fan of this blue end-on-end option, though its currently wait listed. ($65, made responsibly in China)
Madewell Cary Sandal / I just love these shoes! I’ve been considering similar styles for a few seasons now, and I think I’m going to need to head to the store to try these on. I love that it’s a sandal that still covers a good portion of the foot – I’m not a fan of showing off my feet, and this feels like a more office-appropriate option. Anything that I can wear to work and on the weekends is a winner in my book. ($158, imported)
Brass Clothing Line-Up Midi / Give me all the stripes! This is yet another piece that I can see wearing throughout the seasons, from the office to beers with friends. This dress is the perfect combination of classic style and modern shape. ($88, made responsibly in China)
Jamie & The Jones Staple Basic Tee / I’ve been stalking Jamie & The Jones for a while now, especially because all my favorite style bloggers are sporting their beautiful tops! Unfortunately, this just is not in the budget for me right now, but I love this top. Although it’s called a tee, its made from beautiful raw silk, upping it’s style factor. This is definitely one of those someday pieces. ($188, made in Nashville)
Vans High Top Sneakers / Could I even pull these off? I love sneakers, especially on the weekends, and I can’t stop thinking about cool high top styles. I think this would be a fun way to mix up my typical ankle baring Converse style. ($60, imported)
Brevity Do Anything Jacket / By far the splurgiest item on my list. I’ve been on the lookout for a leather or suede jacket, something as a slightly classier alternative to my denim jacket. I’m just really not all that into cardigans lately, and need a topper for blouses at the office as I tend to get cold sitting at my desk all day. However, finding one that is responsibly made is hard. I love this vegan leather piece from new-on-the-scene Brevity Brand. I originally found it through Selflessly Styled (my new fave blogger resource for all things ethical fashion). This is just the look I want, but I’m not sure about the investment… ($300, made in women-owned factories in San Francisco)
Okay, let’s hear it. Whats on your spring style wish list?
