The Friday Edit | Getting Engaged, Pretty Home Tours, and a few other things…

Happy Friday, friends!

This week has been a whirlwind. Between getting engaged last weekend, telling family & friends, plus a busy week at work and at home, I’m ready for a little bit of R&R this weekend. Of course, I plan on working on blog & YouTube things this weekend, but aside from that, I need to take care of myself a bit – and maybe indulge in a bit more celebratory champagne. I mean, if not now, when?

I know we only got engaged last weekend, but we’ve already started some initial wedding planning. That might make us sound crazy, but since we’ve been discussing getting married for quite some time, it’s not totally crazy. Mostly, we weren’t sure if we wanted to do it this year, or wait til next year. If we wanted to do it this year, we needed to hop to it, before everything was scheduled. We’re still undecided, but will certainly share more when decisions are made. We’re just so excited, and are still taking the time to bask in the joy of it all. I’ve known we’d eventually get married for a long time now, but now that it’s happening, things just feel so different.

Anyway, enough about me. I hope y’all have a good weekend, what do you have planned?

We’ve all been talking so much about washing our hair less to be healthy, but maybe we should be washing it more? Being a woman is so complicated.

A bunch of pretty things I did not buy. (love!)

This is the prettiest home tour. Kind of feels like taking a deep breath of fresh air. Fresh, sandalwood-scented, 80-degrees-and-sunny, air.

Okay, and another one, because Portland. (And one of my many wishes – if we stay here long term) is to own a cute little Portland bungalow.

I’ve always wondered – how to women know if they want kids, and when? That whole biological clock thing eludes me. I love Jessica Murnane’s take on the topic. At the end of the day, it’s your choice, do what you want.

Following up yesterday’s post, how to start an ethical closet, without spending a dime.

How to avoid being psychologically destroyed by your newsfeed. Enough said.

Just saw this old-timey cover this morning, and can’t stop listening to these lovely ladies sing! So fun.
